About this center
University Parkway is one of Pensacola's medical corridors. Our Suite H shares a multi-suite professional building with a primary care practice, an audiology clinic and a counseling center, and Baptist Medical Park – Nine Mile, with its free-standing ER and specialists, sits at the Nine Mile Road intersection a few blocks north. HCA Florida West Hospital is on North Davis Highway to the south, and UWF's campus is a short drive up the parkway. From I-10, take exit 13 to Davis Highway and turn north onto University Parkway; parking is on site.
The center is opening soon; we are not yet treating clients in Pensacola, but the team is taking free consultations and a waitlist for first EEG appointments. When we open, you will meet a Client Care Coordinator first, then a technician for your EEG and EKG recording, with a Braincare physician reviewing the results and building any protocol. Florida is in the TRICARE East region, and Navy families can ask the coordinator how referrals work for this center.

What to expect
- A free consultation. You will receive a call from our office within 24 hours, between 9am and 5pm, to answer your questions, explain our process and fees, and help you decide if MeRT is right for you.
- An EEG recording. You have a unique brainwave signature. We record an electroencephalogram, paired with an electrocardiogram, to map how your brain is functioning today.
- A physician review. A physician reads your results with you and, if MeRT fits, builds the protocol that is specific to your brain.

Questions about this center.
Not yet.
A Client Care Coordinator calls you within 24 hours, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. They answer your questions, explain the process and fees, and help you decide whether MeRT is worth exploring. There is no charge and no obligation. If you want to go further, they schedule your initial EEG and physician consultation. For Pensacola, the same call places you on the opening waitlist.
Your brain has its own electrical rhythm. A technician fits an EEG cap and records your brainwave activity while a separate sensor records your heart's activity (EKG). The recording is painless and takes place seated in a quiet room. Your physician uses both recordings to see how your brain is functioning today and whether a personalized protocol makes sense. Pensacola recordings begin once the University Parkway suite opens.
Every Braincare center accepts TRICARE, and we can help you understand referral and authorization steps before you commit to anything. Bring your questions; the Client Care Coordinator has walked many service members through this. Florida is in the TRICARE East region (Humana Military); NAS Pensacola and Corry Station are roughly 20 to 30 minutes away via I-110.
TRICARE informationCare does not stop at the first recording. Follow-up EEG and EKG recordings, together with conversations about how you are sleeping, thinking and feeling, help your physician assess change and adjust or continue your protocol. Your team explains the schedule that applies to your care. Results vary from case to case and are not guaranteed. Follow-ups will be done locally once the Pensacola center opens.
